Welcome to Great Hearts Western Hills

Dear Friends of Great Hearts Western Hills,

It is an honor to serve as the founding headmaster of Great Hearts Western Hills and I look forward to the profound impact it will have on your child and family.  In August of 2018, we will open our doors with grades K-4 adding an additional grade each year until we become a K-12 campus.

The motto of Great Hearts Academies “Verum, Pulchrum, Bonum”- “Truth, Beauty and Goodness” guides us as we offer a curriculum that will invigorate our students’ minds as well as their hearts.  A rich panoply of literature will engage and inspire.    Internationally acclaimed Singapore Math, will challenge each student at his or her level and develop a pictorial bridge between concrete and abstract math concepts.  Primary historical sources will complement an in-depth history curriculum, and science class will be both historical and cutting-edge.   A distinctive priority is language acquisition and in the classical tradition, Latin will be our starting point.

Additionally, our students will create beautiful art, enjoy masterworks of music, and fabulous physical education with some of the finest special-area teachers of their respective fields. In sum, our students will be well prepared for success in their next years in school and in their future calling and endeavors.

Our desire for Great Hearts Western Hills is not only to provide a weighty education but a joy filled school.  This can take place with our intentional methods and a faculty chosen for their expertise as well as their moral character.   I have seen as a teacher, headmaster and parent, how the vision of Truth, Beauty and Goodness inspires students and brings out the best in each one. We believe this education will benefit your children  for the rest of their lives.

All the best,

Robby Kuhlman
