Robby Kuhlman, Headmaster
Originally from Southern California, Mr. Kuhlman attended a performing arts high school in Los Angeles and specialized in violin performance. His college degrees are in History, Spanish and then a Master’s Degree in Education. Mr. Kuhlman worked in business for nine years as a vice president of sales and marketing. Realizing his calling was back in education, he taught elementary grades in Scottsdale, Arizona and in Kiev, Ukraine at a school for children of diplomats and multinational corporations. In 2007, he joined Great Hearts as a founding faculty member of Scottsdale Preparatory Academy. Mr. Kuhlman was also the founding headmaster of Archway Scottsdale in 2011. In 2015 Mr. Kuhlman served as an on-loan founding headmaster of Jackson Hole Classical Academy, a private K-7 school in Wyoming that is modeled after Great Hearts’ methodology and curriculum. Upon returning to Great Hearts Arizona in 2016, he served as the Headmaster of Archway Lincoln, a K-5 Great Hearts school in Chandler, Arizona. He joined the Great Hearts Texas team in July of 2017. During his free time, he enjoys playing his violin, reading literature, hiking and spending time with his wife and three children.
